About this event

The Integrated Award Environment (IAE) has prepared SAM.gov and other IAE systems (e.g., eSRS, FSRS, CPARS) to use the new Unique Entity ID (SAM). By April 4, 2022, the federal government will transition from using the DUNS Number to using the new Unique Entity ID (SAM) as the entity identifier for federal awards. Register now for the forum on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. EST to see what the change to the new identifier means for you and your work in IAE systems.

In this forum, you will see how searching for entities and awards will look using the Unique Entity ID (SAM). We will also demonstrate registration pages that have new, customer-focused changes.

How do you know if you already have a Unique Entity ID (SAM)?

  • If you have an entity registration (even if your registration has expired), you already have a Unique Entity ID (SAM). You can find it by signing into SAM.gov and selecting the Entity Management widget in your Workspace or by signing in and searching entity information.
  • If you use the DUNS Number today with your federal contracts or grants, check this interactive guide to see if you need to take action to get your Unique Entity ID (SAM) before April 4, 2022. Once you select the guide link, look for the document in your downloads.

Go to FSD.gov and select the green Help on UEI Transition button at the top of the page to learn more.

Register now to participate on March 23rd. We hope to see you there!

Live closed captioning of the event will be available. If you are a member of the press, send an RSVP to press@GSA.gov after you register.

Please note: you may listen to the entire event through your computer audio; you are not required to dial into any conference line. All communication during the program is through the written chat log only. In addition, we will record this event and post it on the IAE Interact space later.
